I really want to buy the DVD but I'm not sure I can play it here....

If it comes from North America, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, or the Philippines, You will be able to watch it on a regular US (NTSC) DVD player.

If it is coming from the UK (or most parts of Europe, for that matter) it will not be compatible with a DVD player in North America, but should be compatible with a DVD drive in your computer.
